The Role
Our Volunteer Bookings Secretary is retiring in September. The Trustees would love
to hear from anyone who feels they could have a few hours a week to become our new
Bookings Secretary.
If you have a passion for the outdoors, enjoy talking to people, and can use a telephone
and computer please contact us for an informal chat about the role.
The Trust will install a dedicated telephone line for you to make and receive calls
about bookings.
Many customers make enquiries and send booking forms by email so you will need to
be happy using a computer.
The Bookings Secretary also works with our sailing contractor to plan the trips for
the year, and manages a bookings diary to make sure trips have enough volunteers
to help on the island and crew the boats.
This is a unique volunteer role that will suit someone who has some time to talk
to people with questions about the island. You will need to be methodical and organised.
Whilst not essential to visit the island, you will be welcome to join us on trips
to help visitors get the most out of their day.
We will provide training and will be on hand to help with any aspects of the job.
The Trust is a registered charity and relies on the generosity of volunteers that
give their time to manage the island. Please contact us if you feel you can help
